I’m Dayi Fu, a Chinese-American artist studying painting & graphic design at The Cooper Union in Manhattan, after graduating as Valedictorian from Douglas Anderson School of the Performing Arts in 2015.
My work ranges across multiple mediums and styles; I enjoy painting as much as I do creating books, posters, and animations. My recent paintings focus on trauma, safety, and bodily autonomy. My art is about my childhood and feelings towards having it taken away, yet my art is also about having power – both of the mind and body and about existing within a quiet and lonely space in which anxiety might exist but never overwhelm.
Regarding client work, I have designed logos, created event cards, business cards, posters, and digital and traditional illustration commissions such as comics and portraits. I am also great with data visualization. Shoot me an email if you’d like to work together!
